Thanksgiving @ Grandaddy's(backyard)

A few pictures from our thanksgiving day, we spent alot of time outside playing with the kids. It turned out to be around 60 degrees, so it was a great day to be out.

Kemper , Michael Ann and Zane came over for dinner and fun last night. Zane and Trey had a big time playing cars, trains and such (little boy stuff).

Novemer 19th, 1990

It all started 18 years ago today. Katherine and I had our first date at the Princess Theatre on this night, we saw Stephen King's "Graveyard Shift" we talked through the whole movie. It seems like it was meant to be when were together that night, 5 short years later we were married by her lovely sister Jennifer. Now our little guy is about to turn 4 years old on December 5th. Life is a beautiful ride, I'm thankful for all of my great family and friends along the way. Sure looking forward to the next adventures we'll take into the next chapters.

Fender Super Champ Boutique

This was my latest art project, I made this box out of solid cherry got it down to around 11/16" thick. I dovetailed all corners so there is no nail holes. sanded to 220 grit. hand rolled the edges. I decided rub Formby's tung oil on it instead of spraying with lacquer, it seems more durable. It has 3 coats on it. Also new speaker fabric. If anybody wants something done like this please let me know, I need some side work and I love to do it too!

1,000 miles!

I made it! 1,000 miles on my bicycle this year. Just barely, it is starting to get cold and also gets dark much earlier which leaves no time to ride after work. Hopefully there will be some nice weekend rides left. I'm setting my goal next year for 2,000 miles and entering some rides/races/time trials. I will most likely do the Tour De' Cure (for Diabetes.org)again in June and will train for the 75 or possibly 100 mile route. There are a number of other events I have an eye out for too!
